The MBA students I had the pleasure of assessing in a Dragon’s Den scenario did an amazing job of showing us their business ideas rather than just talking about them. I was so bowled over with how:
-
We were given the opportunity to touch, feel, see, taste and experience their businesses
-
They brought their products to life by telling stories
What I think I was most impressed with is that they had listened. During my guest session a few weeks earlier I had gone on and on about the importance of storytelling and engaging with their audience. And they did both brilliantly.
I came away with no doubt whatsoever that these entrepreneurs have the ability to navigate the world and create successful businesses.
They even took on board what I had said in my guest session about being relatable and memorable and created some fabulous items that demonstrated their business ideas. Please note, the personalised items were given after we’d questioned them and completed our assessment and scoring.
The big question now is, do you think I will be able to persuade one of my children to wear a T-shirt with my face on it??!
