There’s far too much content being produced by every man and his dog…sorry Jack (my cat).

Worst still, with the increased use of AI there is a “sameness” problem as well. So much content now sounds the same with meaningless words and phrases. As people become more selective and are choosing to protect their time, how are you going to make them notice you?

What can you do to rise above all the “noise” and grab their attention?

Well, you can choose to deliver content that:

  • Shows you really understand your audience and what is important to them.
  • Hits their pain point and delivers what they are looking for
  • Is educational and demonstrates your expertise and knowledge.
  • Reflects your brand values so they get to know you and understand you.
  • Is entertaining, interesting and engaging.
  • Builds a connection and creates trust.

Storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to connect with your audience and build a relationship with them. Use blogs, social media posts, newsletters, videos and presentations to tell your stories.

“People remember stories up to 22 time more than facts alone.”  Stanford Research

Just to clarify, it doesn’t mean all your stories have to be long. Stories can be short and equally powerful. The most famous short story is commonly attributed to Ernest Hemingway:

“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

Only six words, but the emotional impact of this story is huge because it triggers emotions making it so much more memorable.
