There’s always a debate about how long your social media posts should be, how much content should be in your newsletters, what length a blog post should be or how long videos should be.
Well, let’s be very clear….. both “short form” and “long form” content have their place. They each do a different, but very valuable job.
Short form gets you seen and builds visibility and brand awareness.
Social media posts that are a couple of short sentences and 15-20 second videos are ideal for this. Remember though….. you only have 3 seconds to grab their attention!

Long form gets you remembered and builds trust, depth and stronger relationships.
This is where you show your understanding, expertise and provide value. Longer blog pieces, videos and presentations are all great ways to build trust.

The magic lies in combining short form and long form content
So you see, storytelling works in both forms. Short snippets can be intriguing and allow your audience to become familiar with your brand. Combine that with long form and you show that you truly understand them and what they need.
